Back in BA...

Ugh... after an 18 hour bus ride from Iguazu, we are finally back in BA!

It's been a loooong day of eating parilla (good effing Argentine meat), drinking lots of Malbec wine and cafe, enjoying some delicious ice-cream, shopping for some cute ass shoes, accessories and clothing (we did too much damage to our wallets - yikes!)... We know... it's a hard knock life doing all this... we know... *sigh*

We went to the Cementerio de Recoleta. It was really beautiful and and interesting to see all the gaudy mausoleums and tombstones... people have way too much money. We visited Eva Peron's grave... it was very modest looking and really cool to see at the same time.

Just for ish and giggles, we went to McD's to compare the chicken nuggets to the US McD's. Final conclusion? ... they are exactly the same. However, the coffee is much better. They have a real espresso machine!

Tonight we are doing it up in BA... hitting up bars and discotecas... we'll update you tomorrow... maybe... hahaha!!

Ciao!

36 hour bus ride to and from Iguazu Falls, worth it?....

YES!!!! I mean next time we will budget for a goddamn 1hr 1/2 plane ride instead!!!!!
What can we say, this place is beautiful...just like Paradise Falls in the movie UP. Check out the scenery:

We left BA at 3pm on 7/28 and arrived at Iguazu at 9:30am 0n 7/29, omg that was the longest ride of our lives!!!

Checked into the hotel and immediately signed up for a waterfall boat ride tour AND got some drinks while waited...of course. Tour took us through the forest and to the waterfalls, where we were drenched by the heavy waterfall mist.

For our evening plans consisted of a quick trip into town, where we ran into a Peruvian traveler that we had met on our boat tour earlier. Our drinking skills were put to shame by this little tiny woman...LOL.

Ciao!! Besitos!!

DRUNK BLOGGING in Uruguay...

OMG...k, so this city is, how do you say, lame-o!!!! Ha!!! Ok, well it's no BA. The people are half as nice and the prices are 2x's as much as BA...so us travelers have come to a unanimous decision that this place kinda SUCKS...LOL...
We are just saying this bc we (aka Kym and Ana, Mimi is in the room sleeping) bc we've had some drianks!!! Thanks Nelly for the hotel hook up--it has been the highlight of our stay here; who does not like spas, massages, and food and DRINK half off!!!! Here are some LAME pics of this city...JK{pcfotgj pcofijgdfkgna k!!"!!!!!! No disrespect to folks out heeeereee.

That´s our bartender... we didn´t het his name but thanks!!
Ciao!

A day in San Telmo....

Ventured out to a Sunday day fair in San Telmo...walked around...had lunch and made some friends with a waiter that would not let us leave before treating us to some cafe. He bid farewell with a line from the Terminator, "Hasta la vista, Baby"...the whole time there consisted of movie one liners...it was hilarious.

For dinner we had good ass osso buco (we really dont know what this is???) We also made some more friends at this nice Italian restuarant called Piegari...the waiter would not let us order more than 2 entrees...we fought over this for a while and relented...and of course he was right, it was too much food. He invited us back next week for some bubbly on him and of course we gladly accepted.

Reunited...

... And it feels so good!

Before being reunited, Ana and Kym spent the day in DC looking at the monuments and enjoying sangria in the park... lots of sangria...

We went to the airport feeling tired and grimy. We checked in for the flight and to our surprise Ana and Kym ended up getting upgraded to business class from DC to Buenos Aires...

Mimi on the other hand flew into Sao Paolo and her flight was cancelled and ended up with a 12 hour layover!

We FINALLY landed! We all had drama getting here, but we are here. Ciao!
